Working Principle:
In High-Intensity Roller Magnetic Separator, a short conveyor belt envelopes the magnetic roll and a tensioning ideal roll. A suitable feeder discharges materials on the belt. The ferromagnetic and paramagnetic particles adhere to the belt while the nonmagnetic particles flow freely off at the end of the conveyor.

How Does it Work?
Magnetic Separation Process: The Suspended Permanent Magnet is placed over the conveying belts carrying the material. This Suspended Magnet system arrests Ferromagnetic materials from distance of 300mm/12 inches from feed material which is transported through the production process.
NOTE:
- The attraction distance trial is taken at a point below the geometrical center point of the suspended magnet assembly.
- The above results are obtained when free path is available for tramp iron particle.
- The above chart is given for the reference. One may get a deviation of 1 to 2 inches in attraction distance depending on actual conditions.
Construction :
- Two U-section pieces are fixed on the Magnet by fastening ears and are supporting bearings of Drums. Drums are equipped with shafts mounted on removable hubs. All bearings equipped with stakes for tightening the belt.
- The belt is driven by a Reduction Gear Coupled to Electric Motor / Geared Motor by V-belts.
Magnet Unit:
The Magnet is made of High-Intensity Strontium Ferrite / Rare Earth Magnets and is guaranteed for the Magnetic Power throughout the life of the installation. A Non – Magnetic Stainless steel Plate is provided to cover the poles of Magnet. There is no need for any electrical supply or maintenance.

Installation:
These units can be installed either in-line over the terminal head pulley (Fig – 1. ), or transversal to the conveyor (Fig – 2). In both cases, it is necessary to foresee Non- Magnetic products under the Magnetic Field.
The most effective position is inline (Fig – 1) over the head pulley. The material being conveyed is in virtual Suspension and Tramp Iron is, therefore, more readily extracted.
Very good results are obtained by combining a Permanent Magnetic Overband with Permanent Magnetic Pulley at the discharge end.

Magnetic Coolant Separator (Magnetic Dust Separator), the coolant fluid with iron dust particles falling by gravity to the inlet of the separator from the precision machine tools such as grinders, milling machines, automates etc. The coolant with iron impurities come into contact directly with magnetic drum and extract all iron particles.
The magnetic drum is kept clean all the times by a scraper blade along the circumference.
A rubber roller squeezes the sludge gathered to ensure that no coolant is wasted.

Permanent Magnetic Drum Pulley replaces the drive pulley at the end of conveyor belts. We have a wide variety of conveyor belt types, the drum pulley are supplied made to measure and it is ready for installation. As shown in the figure that magnetic head roller extracts the iron particles from the material flow and carries them to the underside of the belt where they are removed and collected. Head roller magnets for conveyor belt are supplied in permanent magnets.
The version with permanent magnets are fitted with powerful and An-Isotropic hard ferrite magnets / Rare earth magnets system is also available in two types: with longitudinal polar field distribution for use with low levels of iron contamination and thin mineral layers, and with lateral polar field distribution for greater material thickness and larger iron particles.

Installation:
Installation is often very simple. Four bolts on a set of pillow block bearings normally hold the pulley in place. Loosen the conveyor belt, remove the old pulley and install the magnetized pulley. This type of installation does not require electricity.

The Magnetic Roller Separator mainly comprises of feed hopper, vibratory flow controller, magnetic roll, Kevlar belt, tail pulley, gear drive, discharge chute, M.S housing etc. Please refer the attached image. Vibratory flow controller helps to control the flow of material as per requirement. The magnetic roller assembly consists of one magnetic roller, tail pulley & Kevlar belt. Each tail pulley is driven by directly shaft mounted gear drive.
There can be multiple roller assemblies arranged one above the other to make multistage system. There is a splitter at the end of each magnetic roller to separate magnetic & non magnetic material. The entire roll assembly along with the cantilever arm, along with the other parts and subsystems are mounted on a rigid heavy duty rectangular tube structure. Entire machines have got a M S paneling duly powder coated and is provided with outlet for dust collection.
Working Principle:
Put ON all stages of assemblies starting from bottom assembly first & then middle & then top. Start the vibratory feeder & regulate the flow of material through hopper outlet. Synchronize the RPM of all stages of assembly with VFD unit with that of vibratory feeder for smooth uniform layered material flow over the rollers.
The rotating magnetic roller separates the iron contamination from the material with the help of splitter. The iron contamination can be collected in a tray. The good material can be collected in the bags from the discharge chute. As it is a self cleaning magnetic system it reduces the man power required during operation & hence increases the productivity.

Hump Magnet are used where the flow of material is vertical. Hump magnets are mostly used to separate ferrous metals from granules, powder, food products and others. The wet drum separator is intended for use in the metal processing industry and for the treatment of pre-concentrates extracted from the high gradient magnetic filter. General Principle:
The liquid flows through a semicircular separating chamber beneath a stainless steel drum to which the magnetizable particles are attracted. The strong, high-gradient magnetic field is created by a cylinder consisting of permanent magnetic discs positioned within the drum. Our highly efficient Eddy Current Separator is the most advanced magnetic separators which are commonly used to separate non-ferrous metals from mixed waste and other streams.
The principle of the eddy current separator is fairly straightforward. Basically, a rotor comprised of magnet blocks, either standard ferrite ceramic or the more powerful rare earth magnets depending on an application, are spun at high revolutions to produce an ‘eddy current’. This eddy current reacts with different metals, according to their specific mass and resistivity, creating a repelling force on the charged particle. If a metal is light, yet conductive such as aluminum, it is easily levitated and ejected from the normal flow of the product stream making separation possible. Separation of stainless steel is also possible depending on the grade of material. Particles from material flows can be sorted down to a minimum size of 3/32″ (2mm) in diameter. How Eddy Current Separator Work:
In eddy current separator there is a short belt of conveyors that has its drive located at the return end and a high-speed magnetic rotor system installed at the discharge end. A magnetic rotor, which is positioned within a separately rotating non-metallic drum, revolves high speed during operation whilst the outer drum cover rotates at the speed of the eddy currents belt conveyor.
While rotor spins at these high speeds at that time electric current is induced into conducting metals. The induced electric current produces a magnetic field, which opposed the field created by the rotor, repelling the conducting metals over a pre-positioned splitter plate.

The Greenwood Spout or Bullet Magnet is a compact, efficient in-line magnetic separator for extracting ferrous metal contamination from either gravity fed or pneumatic pipelines. It is normally fitted into pneumatic process lines, often for food powders, and intake lines with high velocity where abrasive products (such as wheat) can present a problem. The magnets are positioned in such a way as to give good access, as they need to be cleaned regularly.
To clean the magnet, the star knobs are unbolted and the door with the magnet removed from the housing. For faster access we also offer the clients the choice of quick release swing bolts. On larger applications where the pressure is low (or gravity fed) the magnet is attached to a round door which swings out. The magnet is then cleaned manually and replaced. For flour lines with iron additive, we recommend a maximum strength of 7000 gauss so that the iron additive is not removed from the product.
The separator is manufactured from stainless steel, and the dry, free-flowing product flows through the body and over the bullet magnet which extracts the contamination. The magnetic separators can be horizontal as well as vertical, the flow being up or down. Internal deflectors ensure that the product is diverted over the bullet magnet with minimal turbulence and no blockage.
In terms of supplying a bullet magnet separator, we first consult with the client to determine specifications such as the size of the line, the pressure in the line, the size of the product, the temperature, and tonnes / hour. Then we supply drawings to suit their applications for approval prior to manufacture.
A good example of an application of this technology is a large rare earth bullet magnet, for a 250mm diameter line, rated at a very powerful 15000 gauss, produced for an animal feed ingredient manufacturer. They produce meal powder for the pet food industry. A lot of the raw material (bones, etc.) is ground to produce the powder, and inevitably this creates ferrous metal fines (very small particles) in the product, which are caught by the bullet magnet. Since the separator has been installed the company have found very little carry over of metal fines further down the process, thus improving their product, and streamlining their production to make it more efficient.

Sintered Hard Ferrite Magnet Products is used in many fields, and is manufactured by powder metallurgy. Properties include isotropy and anisotropy with Ba and Sr. This permanent magnet has difficult demagnetization, is rust resistant, and can work at 250. Ferrite is rigid and crisp, which can be cut and machined using diamond, dies are made with steel alloy. The sintered ferrite magnets are available in isotropic magnet and anisotropic magnet.
The sintered ferrite has high hardness. It means that can only used diamond tools cutting, grinding techniques can be used to manufacture these products. Attention is required during production & transportation due to their brittle nature.
